BOLIVIA

Praise! Technicians were able to repair the lightning-damaged transmitter for a radio station that carries broadcasts of God’s Word in tribal languages and Spanish, and the station is back on the air. Thank you for praying! Please continue to pray for wisdom about expanding the reach of the station, and for provision for a backup transmitter.

INDONESIA (Semandang tribe)

Praise God with us that the Scriptures are being translated into the Semandang language according to the plan that missionary Darcy Berglund and the Semandang church elders made last year. They are accomplishing the goals they set and are being blessed by seeing God’s Word in their language.

SENEGAL

A substantial gift given this week, coupled with a gift from last week, will enable the Senegal flight program to hold the line on what missionaries are paying for flights. “The Lord has provided in a way none of us could have imagined,” wrote missionaries Steve and Jessica Bastow. “These gifts will allow the flight program to continue at the present hourly rate for some time without an increase in cost,” despite huge increases in fuel prices. Praise the Lord for a generous answer to prayer.

PANAMA (Embera tribe)

Embera church leaders and missionaries met with a representative from the Ministry of Education Saturday to discuss the Embera alphabet situation. The promoters of the “new” alphabet did not show for the meeting and no decision was made. Missionary Doug Schermerhorn wrote, “It does seem that the promoters of the ‘new’ alphabet are trying to go through the back door instead of bringing their proposal to the Emberal congress.” Keep praying!

Pray for strength and good health and for those in Nurra who will soon hear the Gospel.

PARAGUAY (Ayore tribe)

The government imposed quarantine of the Ayores in Charidi has been lifted. Tonight the Ayore church leaders will make radio contact with Charidi to ask if they can come for a visit. Tomorrow the missionaries and Ayore believers will present their hopes to teach God's Word in a culturally sensitive way so the Ayores can intelligently make their own choice to believe in God or not. Pray for wisdom to know the Lord's leading and perfect timing.
